MBA/master’s dual-degree in business and engineering announced

The Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering and Olin Business School have announced a new dual-degree that combines a master’s degree in engineering and a master’s of business administration. Students can earn an M.Eng and MBA degree with a focus on energy, the environment and corporate sustainability. FULL STORY

Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton gave a special address titled “A Vision for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis” March 16 at the Eric P. Newman Education Center. St. Louis Symphony musicians collaborate at WUSTL March 28

Members of the St. Louis Symphony, including violinist Erin Schreiber (right) will join pianist Martin Kennedy, assistant professor of music, and mezzo-soprano Nöel Prince, instructor in voice, for a free performance at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, at the 560 Music Center. The Community Partnership Performance will feature music of Liszt, MacDowell, Schubert and Mahler. University’s United Way leadership recognized

With $715,540 raised for the United Way by WUSTL in 2010, the university has exceeded its United Way fundraising goal for five consecutive years. In February, Chancellor Mark S.   • Women’s basketball falls short of national title. The Bears’ magical run through the NCAA Division III tournament came to an end with a 64-55 loss to No. 2 Amherst College in the title game March 19 in Bloomington, Ill. The Bears (25-6) were there for the third season in a row and fourth time over the past five years. WUSTL defeated five straight top-10 opponents during its remarkable run to the title game.
